Join the hundreds of Certified Dementia Practitioners!
The Certified Dementia Practitioner credential is an industry standard in Long-Term Care communities. To become certified, participants must complete the Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Seminar by an approved instructor.
The program is taught in 8-hours and includes the following topics:

Introduction to Alzheimer's and Dementia

Communicating and Working with Elders with Dementia

Quality Care and Residents' Rights

Activities and other Non-pharmacological interventions

Understanding and addressing challenging behaviors
Students who complete the program are eligible for certification through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP).
Our CDP program is provided by Christabel Smith, an approved NCCDP instructor for the training. Christabel uses her knowledge and vast experience in the field to improve the quality of life for those living and working in Senior Health and Human Services Settings. She is the founder of C-Smith Consulting.
