The Certified Dementia Practitioner credential is an industry-standard in Long-Term Care communities. To become certified, participants must complete the Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Seminar by an approved instructor.
The program is taught in 8 hours, divided into 2, 4-hour blocks. The following topics are covered:

Paranoia, Hallucinations, Delusions

Wandering, Hoarding, and Aggressive behaviors

Staff and Family Support, Diversity, and Cultural Competency

Spiritual Care and End-of-Life
Students who complete the program are eligible for certification through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP).
Course fee of $195.00 includes complete instruction and access to a digital notebook/coursebook. NCCDP Certification fees are not included.
