Activities Care Planning with Confidence Online Course

Care planning is an essential part of the activity professionals’ world and work. Many professionals often feel they aren’t sure of the wording to use in care plans. This course helps activity professionals feel empowered in their care planning work. It provides tools to boost assessments, conquer care planning challenges through practice and inspiration from experts in the field.

What will I learn to do?

Apply regulatory requirements and person-centered care standards to care plans.

  • Practice empowering communication skills to ensure efficient and effective initial assessments.

  • Create powerful, person-centered care plan goals and approaches to promote quality of life in all residents.

  • Apply best practices to monitor effective care plan effectiveness

What do I need to participate?

  • Access to a computer with reliable, hi-speed internet

  • A webcam and microphone.

  • A notebook and a pen.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and/or Google Docs 

  • Zoom(r) Video Conferencing App (click here to download)

  • An email account

Next Class Starts January 2024
through the National Association of Activity Professionals

How will I Participate? 

This course includes pre-work, homework, live webinars, and a final exam. 

  • Pre-work must be completed before October 15, 2023

  • Live Webinars are Mandatory and are on 10/16, 10/23, and 10/30, 2023 6-7:30 PM EST

  • Homework is due on 10/22, 10/29, and 11/5.

  • The final exam will be taken independently.
